Celebrating 2024 Pick-Up and Party
On the 31st December 2024, we celebrated the end of a successful year at the Sierra Leone Flying Disc Association; we went to the beach for a game of Ultimate Beach Frisbee. Blessed with a great weather, we enjoyed a couple of hours filled with intense sport performance as well as Spirit of the Game, friendship and laughter. Welcoming all who wanted to play and also a couple of spectators, we gave our best, before retreating to the shades of nearby palms where we continued with a little party during which we remembered all we achieved so far and looked forward to the exciting plans for 2025.
What started as a group of friends and enthusiasts, introduced to ultimate frisbee by an international volunteer many years ago, continues in much the same way: we are still friends, enthusiasts, and lovers of frisbee sports. However, we have also started to follow our vision with a clear plan and structure, achieving key milestones over the past year.
We organised the first-ever ultimate frisbee tournament in Sierra Leone, promoted the sport through newspapers and radio, brought presentations about the Spirit of the Game to over 2,000 students, were registered as community based organisation and also became a part of the World Flying Disc Federation (WFDF).
Our Annual Report summarises our achievements and outlines the state of the association at the end of 2024, while presenting our vision for the year ahead.
We feel grateful for having the opportunity to not only play our beloved sport, but also to use it to positively impact our communities, and we recognise we can do this much effectively thanks to our partners. Be it your skills in photography, sending frisbee disc, providing advices or help in our crowdfunding, you help to make our vision for better future come true.

Become Our Member
When you become SLFDA member, you will be part of growing community of persons interested in flying disc sports in Sierra Leone. You will be able to participate in SLFDA events: Regular training sessions and training camps, all-levels competitions, national-level team competitions, social events and others. You will be informed about the activities and management of SLFDA, and you will be able to submit proposals regarding our activities, as well as vote and be voted for various positions in the association.

Our ambition and goals are great. In both promoting flying disc sports and improving communities around us. But living in one of the poorest countries on Earth, we can do so much more thanks to your help.
